Role of One Voice Network in getting your voice heard
Now in its twelfth year One Voice Network continues to work with its members (front line Voluntary and Community Groups, the infrastructure support organisations - including the 6 CVS’) and our public sector partners to provide timely information on key issues, bring people together to learn and share and most significantly, to help ensure an effective voice for the Voluntary and Community Sector.
Even more important at this time of change in the public sector structures which we are all, having to adapt to working in, it is important that OVN responds to make sure that the VCS has strong, meaningful and effective representation. We aim to secure a voice which is able to make an impact within our new County and beyond – which means being effectively informed by the needs of our communities and the Voluntary Groups which exist to support them.
OVN is governed by a Steering Group comprising 12 support bodies (Infrastructure organisations). Please click here to see a list of the infrastructure organisations who sit on the One Voice Network Steering Group and the Steering Group Terms of Reference.
It is about securing places at the planning table with decision makers to ensure those needs are given the right consideration, that our sector has equal opportunity and we strive to secure the resources our front line groups need to be sustainable.
